In Their Own Words

"I had the home assessment done before purchasing a 1970s terrace in Bangsar. The written report was genuinely useful — not just a checklist but actual observations with context. It helped me negotiate the purchase price and plan the renovations in the right order."

"We had three ceiling fans replaced in our condo in Mont Kiara. The work was tidy, they arrived when they said they would, and there were no surprises. The one minor thing — they ran slightly over the time window — but they called ahead to let us know, which I appreciated."

"The panel restoration was done on our shophouse in Chow Kit which still had original wiring in parts. Razif was patient about explaining what was original, what was added later, and what needed attention. We now have a proper circuit diagram for the first time in the building's history."

"I was sceptical about paying for an assessment rather than just getting a repair done, but the report from Alderwick Sero was comprehensive enough that I could prioritise what needed doing and budget accordingly. It was money well spent."

"We had heritage pendant lights installed in our Damansara Heights bungalow. Wei Shan took time to discuss the placement with us before starting, and the quality of the installation was exactly what we hoped for. Very careful with the fittings."

"Good experience overall. The panel work on our old terrace took longer than initially expected because of some deteriorated components they found along the way — but they explained everything as they went and got our agreement before extending the work. Honest about what they found."

Three Visits, in Detail

TC

Pre-Purchase Assessment, Brickfields Terrace

Home Assessment · February 2026

The Situation

A homeowner was in the final stages of purchasing a 1965 terrace house in Brickfields. The property had changed hands twice in recent years and had accumulated piecemeal electrical additions. She wanted a clear picture before signing.

What We Did

A two-hour assessment covering all accessible areas: the main fuse board, all socket outlets, visible surface wiring, and the lighting circuits. Findings were documented in a priority-grouped written report delivered the following day.

The Outcome

The report identified three priority items — including a double-wired circuit — and several lower-priority observations. The client used the report to negotiate a price reduction and schedule appropriate follow-on work within the first year of ownership.

Full Panel Restoration, Setapak Heritage Shophouse

Main Panel Restoration · March 2026

The Situation

A family had converted a shophouse into a residential property and retained the original fuse board from the early 1980s. Circuit breakers were tripping periodically and the circuit labeling had become illegible over decades of additions.

What We Did

A full panel restoration over five hours — cleaning, testing all breakers, replacing two failed MCBs, installing an RCD for the kitchen and bathroom circuits, and producing a full circuit diagram with updated and legible labeling.

The Outcome

Tripping ceased entirely. The family now has a clear circuit diagram for the first time. The RCD installation added protection to the wet areas. The written record documents all changes made for future reference.

MH

Heritage Pendant Installation, Masjid India

Lighting & Fixture Craft · April 2026

The Situation

A homeowner had sourced four antique-style brass pendant lights for a restored dining room. The existing wiring had been run for simple ceiling roses and needed modification to support the weight and wiring configuration of the heritage fittings.

What We Did

A placement discussion before work began established the exact positioning. Mounting points were reinforced, wiring was modified for the fitting configuration, and each pendant was installed and tested. The client was walked through operation and care of each fitting.

The Outcome

All four pendants installed within the agreed time window, with clean finishes and no damage to the restored plaster ceiling. The client noted that the care taken with the fittings matched what she had hoped for when she chose a specialist service.
